Join us for an engaging fireside chat with Ms. Fiona Nuwamanya on June 03 at 2pm CAT. This event is hosted by ALU and H2i as part of the FemSTEM program, an initiative designed to inspire, engage, and celebrate women entrepreneurs. Fiona is the co-founder and CFO of Rocket Health Africa, Uganda’s first telemedicine company, which has served over 1 million patients, employed 600+ staff, and raised a $5M Series A round before its recent acquisition by Kenya’s MyDawa Group.She is also the co-founder of the Africa Centre for Applied Digital Health (CADH), where she leads efforts to build digital health solutions powered by AI and global data science standards. Fiona is a Fellow of the ACCA, holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, and was named ACCA Africa CFO of the Year 2023.In this session, Fiona will share insights from her entrepreneurial journey, the challenges and triumphs of scaling digital health ventures, and practical advice for aspiring founders. This event builds momentum for the upcoming FemSTEM Pitch Competition taking place at the ALU campus in June, where participants will compete for $25,000 CAD in cash, $15,000 CAD in legal services, mentorship, and more.
