Sixbert Sangwa is an Intentional Business and Trade Faculty and Capstone Supervisor. He joined ALU Rwanda with 11 years Industry experience in Business Development and Project Management within Development and Humanitarian Sectors, both locally and regionally. He believes that entrepreneurship holds the future of employment, hence his passion for teaching business and entrepreneurship skills.

Lucy Cherono
Lucy is a Computer Science Facilitator (and a very passionate one at that). She has facilitated at a myriad of institutions of higher learning across East Africa for over ten years. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Data Science using ensemble algorithm to predict Loan Status. Her mission is to Encourage Engage and Equip others to believe in the possibilities.
Verena Lenzen
Verena Lenzen holds a MSc in Econometrics and Operations Research. She worked in management consulting and software development applying her knowledge of Analytics across a multitude of industries globally. In 2019 she moved to Rwanda to establish a social start-up focused on sustainability. Since early 2020 Verena has been teaching at the International Business and Trade faculty at ALU.
Oluwaseun David Adepoju
Oluwaseun David Adepoju is a Global Challenges Faculty and Academic Librarian at the African Leadership University, Kigali Rwanda. Before joining the University, he was the founder and the manager of TECHmIT Africa, a Technology and Innovation Ecosystem Advocacy Organization in Nigeria. He had a bachelor in Library and information science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. A masters in Information Science at the University of Ibadan Nigeria. A masters in Public Policy (Technology Policy) at the Korean Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management South Korea and a currently a PhD researcher in Creative Technologies at the COLAB, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.
Francis Vorhies
Dr Francis Vorhies is a conservation economist with a particular interest in unlocking the wildlife economy in Africa. He is the Academic Director of ALU’s School of Wildlife Conservation as well as the Director of the African Wildlife Economy Institute at Stellenbosch University and a Research Visitor at the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit at the University of Oxford. His past experiences include being the chief economist of the African Wildlife Foundation and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Dr Vorhies has a PhD in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Fabrice Dusengumuremyi
Fabrice Dusengumuremyi has an MBA of Finance he obtained from the Adventist University of Central Africa. He has experience in Education at higher learning institutions serving as a Facilitator, Lecturer, Academic Advisor/Coach and Academic Registrar. During his career, he has mainly worked on designing and implementing the competency-based and blended learning models.
Jackson Akor
Jackson Akor joins ALU as a Global Challenges Faculty. He has 7 years experience in Social Innovation across diverse enterprises. He holds a joint honors degree in Business Education & Accounting from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
He studied for a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship Education at the Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, a MacArthur Foundation regional centre of excellence, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Emmanuel Munyarukumbuzi
Emmanuel Munyarukumbuzi Joined ALU as Faculty: Leadership Core, Communicating for Impact. He is a Media and Communication professional with experience in Rwanda, Australia, Europe and various countries in Africa. His research interests include communication for development (including health communication and sustainability), social justice, and the impact of technology on communication and development.
Sylvie Ndahimana
A Product Manager with +15 years of working experience in digital transformation combined with project management frameworks facilitating business change within organisations in Africa, Europe and the USA (Mining sector, Financial sector, Tech, Public sector).

Benson Murimi
Benson is a Computer Science Facilitator at ALU. He holds a master’s degree in IT focused in Data Science and Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He’s passionate about developing user friendly technologies and scaling technology infrastructures.
