Africa Rising: The Opportunities and Challenges

At ALU, we believe that Africa is rising and that there is so much growth and development happening on the continent. At the same time, there are challenges and complexities that can be daunting. In line with our vision to nurture the next generation of African leaders, we have created the Africa Rising course which applicants have to complete as part of the application process.

The course contextualizes the state of the continent through its four modules:

Africa’s Education Challenge
Africa’s Urbanization Opportunity

Through the modules, students begin to understand and appreciate their countries as well as the opportunities and challenges of growth and development.
