In just 250 hours over 10 weeks, this intensive course combines expert-led classes, peer collaboration, personalised self-study and engaging socialisation opportunities, all up to Cambridge University’s high standards. Boost your grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills with activities designed to enhance all aspects of language use.
Whether you’re a prospective ALU student aiming to meet admission standards, an aspiring professional preparing for English Proficiency Tests, or an adult learner seeking to enhance your language skills, our programme provides the support and resources you need to succeed.
Who is it for?
- Anyone over 18 with low/intermediate level English proficiency (other universities/colleges etc.)
- Anyone who would like to improve their English to prepare for a standardised English Proficiency Test.
- Adult professionals (school teachers/doctors etc.) who simply want to become more proficient in English (Kigali-based)
Programme Details & Structure
The programme is structured as a 10-week immersive language boot camp, where participants engage in formal instruction focused on improving their linguistic competencies including, but not limited to, grammar, vocabulary and orthography, interwoven with a wide array of practical communicative language activities to improve their reading, listening, writing, speaking and interaction skills.
The programme requires an average of 250 hours of learning in total, or 25 hours per week, consistent with benchmarks established and validated at Cambridge University.
