Higher education

re-imagined.

The African Leadership University provides higher education that’s re-imagined to meet the needs of Africa, and the world. At ALU, students develop the real-world skills to take on the continent’s most pressing challenges, and unlock its most exciting opportunities. They take ownership of their learning from day one through our peer and student-led approach – because ALU believes in the power and agency of young people to start shaping the future right now.

It takes a special combination of talents, traits and tenacity to become an ALU student. ALU students are characterised by their self-drive and their grit, as well as a curiosity and open-mindedness that sets them apart from their peers. They have a burning passion to contribute actively to solving the problems in their immediate community, who have a deep love for Africa and are bold enough to pursue a life of impact – regardless of their circumstances.
