Join us at RIE Nairobi in February 2025 to connect with thought leaders and like-minded stakeholders. Explore how to transform education systems, turn bold ideas into actionable solutions, and foster accountability at every stage of creating impactful change for Africa’s future.
The Reimagine Education (RIE) event is a regular education thought-leadership series hosted by African Leadership University (ALU); where visionaries, educators, counselors, parents, students, and all other stakeholders engage in dialogue on the current state of education, discover the far-reaching capabilities of revolutionizing education systems, and gain actionable insights on reimagining the future of education. Past R.I.E. conferences held in Lagos, Nigeria (March 2024) and Nairobi, Kenya (September 2023) brought together educators from across these countries to ignite conversations and initiatives prioritizing education as a fundamental driver of socio-economic and human development. These conferences underscore the potential of education to empower individuals, drive innovation, and shape a brighter future.
At RIE Nairobi 2025, ALU will unveil its groundbreaking Thought Leadership Survey Report, a comprehensive analysis of Africa’s educational and workforce landscape. The report combines insights from two pan-Africa surveys:
[1] Student Survey – which captures the aspirations and perspectives of nearly 4,000 students from government and private schools across nine African countries, exploring motivations for further education, job prospects, and the future of AI and the African economy, and
[2] Business Survey – gathers insights from 4,000 businesses, including SMEs, large African companies, and multinationals, on the evolving skills landscape, the role of higher education in employability, and future workforce trends.
Together, these surveys provide an unparalleled understanding of empowering Africa’s youth and aligning education with the continent’s socio-economic needs.
