    My mission is to achieve economic development in Africa by designing solid economic frameworks and creating 2 million jobs by 2030. Through ALU’s Student Venture Program(SVP), I have been equipped with skills to start and run a business and most importantly, to delegate and start another one. Through entrepreneurship, I intend to create at least 2 million jobs and ensure there is economic and technological progress in Africa.

    ALU has given me the opportunity to practice what I do in class, develop new skills, and most importantly take my first steps in the professional world. During my time at ALU, I was able to work as a Residential Assistant where I drove the cultural integration of over 100 students from 35+ countries.

    I am a generalist, who is still working on perfecting the art of being a generalist, but thus far, ALU has been able to prepare me with the right attitudes, skills and frameworks that allow me to creatively engage with the various disciplines required towards achieving my goals.       Get real-world work experience
      while you study at ALU.

      Most universities provide little to no practical work experience. They don’t start talking about life after graduation until a student’s final year. At ALU, we take a different approach. Our students begin their career development journey on day one. We believe that practical work experience is crucial, so we’ve made it part of our curriculum.

      Students at ALU are encouraged to pursue work experience for at least 8 weeks of each academic year as part of the graduation requirement. While we expect a majority of students will pursue internships, we also support students who want to pursue other kinds of work experience including community service, community-based academic research, and entrepreneurial experience.
