The Jack Ma Foundation’s Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative

Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative.

Since its founding, ALU has shown great commitment to fulfilling the mission of educating 3 million leaders by 2030. Our disruptive learning model, access to networks, as well as our strong values have continuously moulded our students into innovative leaders who are determined to create a positive impact on the African continent.

And we are not alone in this journey.

The Jack Ma Foundation works to empower entrepreneurs and drive positive change. As such, in partnership with the African Leadership Group (ALG), it has introduced the flagship, philanthropic entrepreneurship program in Africa known as the African Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI). This revolutionary program identifies the “African Entrepreneur Heroes”, who use their entrepreneurial skill-set to create an impact in their communities.

This initiative has supported incredible young entrepreneurs financially as well as through mentorship and access to networks.

The ANPI 2020- Bigger and Better

This year, the African Netpreneur Summit returns with much higher stakes and is most certainly bigger and better, with $1.5 million set to be distributed among the winners. It will be held at the home of the African Union headquarters, Ethiopia, in November 2020. 10 inspiring finalists will pitch their innovative projects to acclaimed entrepreneurs, including business icon, Jack Ma. Aside from the televised pitching competition, finalists will get to participate in masterclasses, workshops, panel discussions, and more exciting opportunities to network with renowned African business stakeholders.
